Mountain Biking

Some trails are passable by mountain bikes while Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge abuts The Molalla River Recreational Corridor, which has hiking, biking, and horseback trails galore.

Nature Photography

Find the perfect spots with our professional photographer and documentary filmmaker, Ian Q. Rowan. We’ll explore composition, lenses for effects (macrophotography, wide-angle) as well as timelapse, astrophotography (Light Bucket Telescope with Adaptor), and light painting photography. Bring the forest alive and share it with the rest of the world!

Advanced Hiking

Join an Eagle Scout guide on an immersive hike throughout the old growth forest, discover hidden gems of primordial forest, fungi, edible undergrowth and learn how the forest was formed over millennia.

Backpacking

Many trails on the property as well as the nearby Molalla River Recreation Corridor and Table Rock Mountain provide the perfect spots for hiking, camping, and exploring the vast wilderness.

Foothills of the Cascade Mountains with Views of Mount Hood

The Trout Creek Wilderness Lodge is located just southeast of Portland, Oregon in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range, with Mt. Hood viewable on your way to the property. We are blessed with a gentle micro-climate at the base of the mountains that formed from the flows of The Molalla River valley.
